Listening to Mike Addington's music, you know this man has paid his dues and is a cum laude graduate of "Honky-tonk U." He's equally adept with both acoustic and electric guitar, but it's his ability to wrench your gut with finely penned lyrics and music that speak to our universally shared emotions.
Moors & McCumber
Moors & McCumberbring to mind a winding mountain road, a dimly lit bedroom, a star filled sky. Influenced by the songwriting of Steve Earl, Gillian Welch and Neil Young, Moors and McCumber deliver songs full of rich harmonies that take you places.
Round Mountain
Round Mountain - These two brothers have a quirky eccentricity and immediate rapport. They are excellent songwriters and instrumentalists. Char and Robby Rothschild have been playing music together for most of their lives. Based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, their background ranges from Balkan and West African styles to traditional Appalachian music, from Irish ballads to klezmer. Round Mountain is a lively mixture of ceremony and irreverence, of exuberance and reflection. Beneath all of these unlikely marriages, a certain warmth remains to unify their sound and their message. Round Mountain presents a rare rough gem of humanity that glows from within.
Sweet Sunny South
Sweet Sunny Southbrings together rollicking fiddle tunes, soulful ballads, tight vocal harmonies and an exceptional array of original songs combined with a heavy dose of humor that keeps the crowd smiling. Bill Powers, Rob Miller, Cory Obert, and Shelley Gray make up this dynamic acoustic old-timey string band that plays a unique blend of new and traditional music. Based in Paonia, Colorado, the band has been making a name for itself at festivals and theaters throughout the region for the past 8 years and received invitations to perform as an official showcase band for both the IBMA and The Folk Alliance in 2006. The group was featured as one of Colorado’s "Movers and Shakers" in Denver's Westword Magazine in 2007.
